Privacy Policy

Universal Fight Timer ("UFT", "we", "our", or "the app") is a round timer application for combat sports training. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

UFT automatically reports a small set of usage counts to our own backend so we can improve the app. These include app opens, timer starts, completions and early stops, built-in timer IDs, sport, selected country theme, platform and app version, and the day of use. Custom timers are grouped as custom; their names and settings are not sent. A country theme is the selected app design, not your physical location.

• No account or sign-up required
• No names, email addresses or persistent user/device identifiers
• No advertising or cross-app tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers
• No third-party analytics SDKs

Reports are batched and can be sent after an offline session. Each batch has a temporary ID to prevent retries from being counted twice. Usage records expire from the active database after 90 days; database backups can retain them for up to 14 additional days. Usage request IP addresses are excluded from application access logs.

Your full timer configurations, training history and settings are stored on your device. Basic usage counts are reported separately; your training notes, recordings and full configurations are not uploaded:

• Timer presets — your custom round/rest/interval configurations
• Session history — records of completed training sessions (rounds, duration, timestamps)
• Settings — your sound, haptic, and voice preferences

If you enable the HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) integration, the app writes the following data to your device's health store after each completed training session:

• Workout session — activity type (boxing), start time, end time, and duration
• Active energy burned — estimated calories based on workout duration and activity type

This data is written directly to Apple Health or Health Connect on your device. UFT never reads, transmits, or stores health data on any server. You can revoke access at any time in your device's health settings.

The app may request access to the following device features:

• Motion/Accelerometer — for shake-to-pause functionality. Data is processed on-device only and never recorded or transmitted.
• Proximity sensor — for auto-pause when the phone is held to your face. Data is processed on-device only.
• Audio/Background audio — to play timer bells and voice announcements while the screen is locked.

UFT does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks or cloud storage for your training history. Basic usage reports go to UFT's own backend. Apple Health, Health Connect and watch integrations use their respective platform services.

UFT does not request names, email addresses, account profiles or advertising identifiers, including from children. Its basic usage counts do not include training notes, recordings or Health data.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
